Why an encyclopedia should name its position.

Reference works are written in a voice that sounds like nobody. That voice is a choice, and it hides which commentary the text was distilled from and how one-sided that commentary was. A reader who wants to think for themselves is handed a conclusion with the working thrown away.

Lexidemia is an attempt at the other arrangement: build the entry out of what people publicly say about the subject, keep the trail back to who said it, then measure the lean of that commentary on a published rubric and print the reading beside the text. A stated bias anyone can check is worth more than a claim of objectivity nobody can audit.

A reading surface and a set of unattributed sample texts. That is all. The pipeline described above is not running: nothing collects commentary, nothing synthesises an entry from it, and nothing computes a bias reading. No rubric has been published, so there is not yet a standard for a reading to be taken against.
